Software Revamp Increases Security with Signal Path Protection
GRASS VALLEY, CA – September 2, 2008 – Sierra Video, a leading provider of high-quality video and audio equipment for the broadcast, government, and professional video marketplaces, today announced the release of TyLinx Pro, a new router control software for Sierra’s entire line of video and audio routing switchers. This enhanced version of Sierra’s TyLinx Router Control Software can provide unique profiles for each user and adds additional security features for the control system.
“Sierra’s TyLinx control software has been known for its customization options,” said John Cosenza, Director of Product Development and Marketing for Sierra Video. “TyLinx Pro adapts that functionality to create user profiles that, define the signal routing options on a user-by-user basis. Individual users can log into TyLinx Pro, with his or her own password, settings, and access as allowed by an administrator. These features simplify the interface for the each user while providing the facility manager more control and oversight.”
TyLinx Pro utilizes a Windows®-based graphical user interface that allows users to virtually recreate their routing system on their computer desktops, defining sources and destinations, signal formats and cabling. The operating window, or “console player”, contains simple tabs that can be switched between Button Per Source and XY views of the routing switcher.
