July 26, 2021 - Since Draper® introduced the Foundation® Mount System for LED, we’ve often focused on the fact that it was designed specifically with installers in mind. Speed and precision are built-in by design, so regardless of the LED display size or brand, all assembly and installation steps can be easily managed by the installation technicians.

In this blog series entitled “Did You Know?” we are sharing specific examples of how our team did exactly that. In this third installment, we will look at the Foundation’s alignment fixture.

As stated in part 2, the most important part of a seamless LED videowall installation is getting it flat. But a close second is creating a level and square videowall with correct spacing. If the LED panels are not level, plumb, and properly spaced, it will negatively affect the seamless experience.

To help the installers properly space the LED panels between the vertical rails Draper provides an alignment fixture with each Foundation. The alignment fixture not only sets the spacing between the vertical rails but also ensures they are all level and square.

Precision fitment is key to the success of the installer and ensures a perfect looking display time after time. The supplied alignment fixtures ensure perfect parallel placement and squareness of the vertical mounting rails. The rows of LED panels can then be easily installed with no misalignment issues.
